Present responsibilities:

	sustainable energy for rural electrification in Africa with cogeneration and other energy production from agro-based industries
	policy, regulatory, and institutional developments in Africa for enhancing sustainable development through renewable energy and energy efficiency

Recent experience:

	potential for application of community cooperatives in rural electrification with particular reference to Kenya and other developing countries
	study of progress towards CDM projects in the East Africa energy sector
	removal of barriers to energy efficiency in small and medium enterprises in Kenya
