AIACC Climate Change, Water and Agriculture
in The Gambia and South Africa

Overview
Project site

The main objective of this project was to build and strengthen institutional capacity for estimating and comparing costs and benefits of adaptation projects in natural resource sectors. Specifically, the project evaluated the effectiveness of adaptation measures for water resources and agricultural case studies in South Africa and The Gambia.

The project was jointly developed by the Energy and Development Research Centre (EDRC), South Africa, and the Department of Water Affairs, The Gambia.

The project was part of Assessments of Impacts and Adaptations to Climate Change (AIACC), a global initiative funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
